Patricia M. Jacobson

Patricia was born and raised in New York City. She received her Bachelor's degree in Art Education from The University of North Texas and went on to acquire a Master’s degree in Sculptural Ceramics with a minor in Painting and Drawing.

After graduating she worked as an Art Teacher for many years before retiring and devoting her time to her own artistic growth. Currently she continues to hone her skills through practice, experimentation and the completion of commissioned portraiture.

Patricia’s portraits are completed using the Zorn Palette technique. The Zorn Palette consists of Ivory Black, Titanium White, Vermilion and Yellow Ochre combined to achieve a variety of realistic skin tones. What began as a challenge from a fellow artist has now become a passion—one that Patricia is thrilled to share with others through workshops and private lessons.

Most recently her Zorn Palette portrait titled “Helen” won Best of Show in the Texas Art Educators Associations Annual Members Show.
